1.Pursuant to: Article 8 of the Personal Information Protection Act (hereafter “the Act”)

2.Agency (name): Overseas Community Affairs Council (hereafter "OCAC"), the OCAC’s secretary office or embassy/consulate/representative office, suppliers contracted to carry out this competition by the OCAC.

3.Purpose of gathering information: In order OCAC to conduct the contestants registration, administration and subsequence communication in the「Singing Competition for Overseas Compatriot School Students and Overseas Compatriot Students Studying in Taiwan」 (the "competition"), your personal data will be collected, processed and used. Your personal data is regulated by the PDPA and related laws.

4.Categories of information collected: Personal information to be collected and used includes your belonging country and area, school, Chinese and English name, email address and others.

5.Handling and use of personal information:

a.Utilizing period: From the time of application to the competition of the aforementioned information gathering.

b.The region within which personal information will be used:
Taiwan (within the ROC), the place of residence of the party involved, or places where handling and use has been approved by the party involved.

c.Users of personal information: The OCAC, the OCAC’s secretary office or embassy/consulate/representative office, suppliers contracted by the OCAC.

d.Ways of using: Carrying out the OCAC’s operations, such as application, competition result record, contacting the person involved, statistical analysis and others, or subsequence communication of the aforementioned collection objectives.

6.In accordance with the Act, the person involved can

a)inquire about the information or request to read it;

b)they can ask for copies;

c)request for additions or corrections;

d)ask to cease the use and handling;

e)ask for deletion.

The person involved can exercise the above rights by submitting a hard copy in writing with this request to the OCAC

7.If an applicant does not provide complete and correct information for the OCAC to carry out this competition, they should fully state the reason for this. Otherwise, the application cannot be processed, and the applicant will lose the entitlement to this competition.
